JOAG Membership
Any Junior Officer (Temporary O-4 and below) who participates in JOAG
meetings and serves on one of JOAG’s committees or workgroups is considered a
general member. There is no formal process for becoming a general
member. Everyone is welcome! Each quarter, we request updates to our general
membership roster.
If you would like to volunteer for one of our committees or workgroups, please
contact that Chair of that group directly. Links to email addresses can be found
on the right hand navigation buttons.
Similar to our Professional Advisory Committees, JOAG is governed by 20
voting members, who serve 2-year terms, and represent each professional
category. Nominations for voting membership are a announced each year in March.
The number of available positions varies each year. Any junior officer can
self-nominate for voting membership, but preference is given to active, general
members with a history of JOAG volunteerism.
